The Lynch motor was developed in order to get a motor more efficient than any other DC motor. In the early 90’s the company started to develop ways to produce the motor, and all developments had to be fully investigated to ensure that the components that have become the standard would out surpass any problems that could be foreseen.
In connection with restructuring and amendmends of ownership the present L.M.C. Ltd. was established in 2003, today producing the Lynch motor under licence from our new parent company LYNCH IP Ltd., the holder of the patent rights for the Lynch motor.
L.M.C. Ltd. are specialists in the field of low voltage high torque permanent magnet DC motors and generators. Previously, we have primarily supplied the leisure markets such as marine, go-kart, and electric vehicles, but during the years up to 2002 we were involved in several industrial projects, where the motor has proved to be a product of very high quality, and as such L.M.C. Ltd. is in the process of developing the motors into more main line products and applications such as floor cleaning, compressors, hybrids, pumps, winch’s etc and our customer base has grown across the world.
L.M.C. Ltd has a policy of innovation and continuous improvement of its products, securing that we are always satisfying requirements for specially designed quality products from our customers.
The sale of the Lynch motor will usually be effected as a technical sale in direct cooperation with the customer’s development department, but today we are also focusing on supplying agents/distributors in many countries making the motor more well-known to the general market place.
It has been decided to commence an ISO accreditation during the current financial year.
The motors have been EMC tested by an outside company and as such are CE approved.
This is a customer information announcement from the Lynch Motor Company issued on the 8th March 2007, affecting customers who believe they have purchased an original patented Lynch motor from the LMC200(tm) range of motors in the last 12 months only.
The Lynch Motor Company has recently been contacted by a number of customers that have experienced catastrophic motor failures under normal operating conditions. Investigation of these failures has shown the customers to have unknowingly purchased counterfeit LMC200(tm) electric motors, not produced or delivered by LMC Ltd. LMC Ltd (Lynch Motor Company Ltd) is the only producer of the high quality original Lynch motors.
The counterfeit motor appear at first inspection to be visually identical to the LMC200(tm) range, however inspection of the casting and removal and close examination of the brush holder will identify a counterfeit.
The counterfeit motors are built using inferior quality components and are not capable of LMC’s high levels of standards and quality and as such are not capable of delivering the high continuous output power you would expect from the LMC200(tm) range of brushed DC electric motors.

Customers who have purchased a motor in the last 12 months in Europe and Asia are believed to be most likely to be affected.
